Tor Hammer in his review of the album says Ytre Sulen is "unstoppable" and continues, "The band is as vital and exuberant as it always has been, but with some more contemporary influences included than before. It is also reflected in the repertoire that retrieves songs from both Cannonball Adderley, Andrea Crouch and Wynton Marsalis, but continues with traditional gospel songs and the title track of Tricia's uncle, John Boutt, and Einar Aars's tribute to his deceased partner, "Dirge for Christian". Banjoist Aar is otherwise the only original member from Ytre Sulen's establishment in 1973. Molde Jazz continues the good tradition of combining food and traditional jazz. Now it is Molde's own Calle Fegth who is responsible for serving a tasty Jambalaya in the best Creole tradition. The tickets are sold with or without food and serving of food begins at 19.30, while the music starts at 21:00. This applies to all week.
