There aren't many norwegian jazz musicians like Hanna Paulsberg. Whatever context one hears her, one is left with the feeling of having experienced a tenor saxophonist with a strong and creative personality, yet with strong ties to both Norwegian and international jazz history.

Since establishing the band six years ago Hanna Paulsberg Concept have been clear tradition bearers of African-American jazz expression in Norway; this is music that really swings, with the way the musicians play together and fridom as important elements.   Their concerts in Norway and abroad have been praised for good reason. When the legendary Norwegian jazz company Odin would resurface in 2016, Hanna Paulsberg Concepts third album Eastern Smiles was first issued during the event. This gives clear association about the long history of Norwegian jazz with brilliant saxophonists, where Paulsberg represents the latest generation.

Paulsberg has participated in as much as seven different projects with Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, several of which were premiered during Moldejazz. It is therefore a pleasure that this time we can present Hanna with her own band "Concept" at Teatret Vårt on Tuesday during the festival.
