Saxophone player, composer and arranger Eirik Hegdal has been a fixture at Moldejazz for several years as a member of various bands and constellations, primarily with Trondheim Jazzorkester.

This year, he is performing with his own Team Hegdal; his own compositional Playschool in miniature format. He writes most of the music himself, and there are references to both Ornette Coleman and Olivier Messiaen.
