On the festival's opening concert on Monday 18 July, we are treated to a meeting of masters between Dave Holland and the Spanish flamenco legend and guitarist Pepe Habichuela and his quartet.

The cooperation was documented on the critically acclaimed album Hands, which was released in 2010. On this album, Dave Holland is moving into a new musical world. The fiery flamenco music is the core of the musical expression and it blends perfectly with jazz. In every way, this meeting is based on mutual respect, love of music and playfulness.
