Irish Sinéad O’Connor broke through in 1987 with her debut album The Lion and the Cobra. However, major fame did not come until 1990 with her interpretation of the Prince song Nothing Compares 2 U.
Since then, she has released a number of albums, collaborated with a long line of famous artists and caused a handful of scandals, not least due to her views on the Catholic Church's failure to condemn child abuse. In September she is releasing her new album Home, which is rumoured to consist of proper 'comeback material', and the snippets that have been made available online suggest this is correct. This summer she is playing a handful of acoustic concerts around Europe, where she will be performing music spanning her long career. This concert will be a rare opportunity to hear her strong and characteristic voice in Norway.
