Twenty-five-year-old Marius Neset from Os near Bergen has taken the international jazz scene by storm. Europe’s leading jazz magazine Jazzwise described him as one of the musicians to look out for in 2011. The young saxophonist's international quartet recently released the album 'Golden Xplosion', which received rave reviews in the music press. Django Bates called Neset 'an astonishing saxophonist', and Jazznytt wrote that the new album was 'A great album where the musicians push themselves to the limit and give us hard-swinging, saxophone jazz of the highest quality'.
The other members of this Norwegian/Danish/British band are some of the most innovative musicians in today’s vibrant, young jazz scene.
