Alto saxophonist Tia Fuller has – as they say in the United States – ‘paid her dues’. She has played with an impressive line-up of renowned artists, from Beyoncé and Nancy Wilson to seasoned veterans like John Faddis and Rufus Reid.
Tia Fuller plays exuberant and cool, modern mainstream jazz with elements of funk and other Afro-American music – typical club music that will blow the roof off Alexandrakjelleren. Tia brings a strong band line-up with her, which is partly a family affair with her sister on piano and her brother-in-law on drums. One of the many strong, new instrumentalists on today's jazz scene will be paying her first visit to Norway and Molde International Jazz Festival.
