Röyksopp are already legends in Norwegian electronica legends They rarely perform live in Norway, but on this Friday you will get the chance to experience them at Romsdalsmuseet.
Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland, both originally from Tromsø, formed the duo Röyksopp in Bergen in 1998. As part of the so-called Bergen Wave that formed around the record company Tellé, they received a fair amount of attention with their first EPs. However, no one could have predicted the phenomenal international success of their debut album Melody AM, which was released in 2001. Singles from this album such as Eple, Poor Leno and Remind Me were also very successful. Since then, they have maintained their position as one of the best and most popular electronica bands with their albums The Understanding (2005), Junior (2009) and Senior (2010). Throughout this time, Röyksopp have been a successful live band, which is not a claim all electronica bands can make. Everything suggests the evening at Romsdalsmuseet will be an eventful one.
