Red Hot to play at Moldejazz for the seventh year in a row

Romsdals-based rhythm & blues-band Red Hot grew forth when the members attended the music-line at Molde videregående skole in the mid 2000's. A joint, although alternating, taste in music with common roots in blues turned into Red Hot's mix of hard-hitting and eventually very tight rockabilly, r&b, and funk. That the band truly swings when performing live, is something most Molde-residents should have noticed of the past few years. When Red Hot first performed took Moldejazz by storm in 2008, it was with nothing less than three concerts and a live recording, which resulted in the Vidar Busk-produced Hotter Than Georgia Asphalt.

Last year Red Hot vocalist Knut Marius Djupvik participated in The Voice on TV2, and not only did he participate; after an exciting finale last December he won the entire competition!

In addition to expansive touring and the aforementioned live-album, Red Hot has so far released the EP My Arrival (2010). We look forward to a new dosage of funky, Romsdals-based blues.
