Pop-cultural satire like never before

Music and humor like you've never seen it before

If you've visited YouTube during the last year you're probably one of the hundreds of millions that saw the Ylvis' super-hit "The Fox". With their fresh music-show, the Ylvis-brothers  capture the essence of popular culture in a successive way. With parodies of everything from R&B to hip-hop through reggaeton, all extraordinarily well produced and played, the Ylvis-brothers surely must be some of the most skilled satirists today.

So good are they, in fact, that it becomes hard to separate the songs and videos from contemporary pop-music that ever threatens to tilt over into self-parody.

With their unique mix of skillful musicians, well choreographed animals and fantastic stage-presence, Ylvis is spot on for the entire family. Where whimsical foxes captivate the young ones, the texts and references are more than enough to keep mom and dad entertained - and to get the teenagers squealing with excitement.

About the world premiere in [Oslo, editors notice] Spektrum late February VGs Stein Østbø wrote that "the mixture of [a] clumsy school-play, genius parody, ironic wit and rhytmich punch is rare, Norwegian stock. If there ever has been anything like it."

The Ylvis-band consists of no less than eleven members. Tarjei Strøm on drums, Molde-born Jonny Sjo on bass, Kalr Oluf Wennerberg on percussion, Stein Austrud on keys, Lars Bleiklie Devik on keys, Johannes Groth on guitar, Frode Vassel on vocals, Viola Bjelland on vocals, Hanna Gratland on vocals, Vegar Ylvisåker on guitar and saxophone, and Bård Ylvisåker on vocals.

Check out Ylvis' "The Sign", which happens to be based on Molde's neighboring municipality, Averøy.
