A Hammond-organ-driven, psychedelic jazz-rock-party!

Elephant9 is Norwegian jazz as raw, tight and groovy as it gets. If you're standing still at an Elephant9 concert you're nigh on being declared clinically deceased!

With their unique mixture of psychedelic rock and jazz with a hint of funk, Elephant9 has taken stages of both near and far by storm for a decade. They've also released four albums, out of which Walt The Nile (2010) was awarded the Spellemannsprisen-award for best jazz album. Furthermore the trio, consisting of Ståle Storløkken, Nikolai Eilertsen and Torstein Lofthus, has cooperated with Motorpsycho as well as Swedish guitarist Reine Fiske, who also appeared on the 2012 album Atlantis.

Fiske, a leading producer on Swedish label Subliminal Sounds, is also, to put it mildly, a feisty and creative guitarist in among others Dungen. It's hard to picture a guitarist that would be a more natural fit for Elephant9. In all his well-composed and spontaneous energy Fiske completes the sound with his somewhat screaming treatment of guitar and assorted electronics.

The combination of Storløkken's groovy hammond-playing, Eilertsen's extremely tight bass-play, Lofthus' disrupted rhythms and Fiskes untamable guitar is, quite simply, unbeatable.

Elephant9 with Reine Fiske promise to deliver a packed-to-capacity, steaming-with-sweat concert with intensity and punch out of this world!
