Merriwinkle is Sidsel Endresen on vocals, Christian Wallumrød on assorted keys, and Helge Sten on guitar and assorted electronics. Merriwinkle released a self-titled album in 2004 to shining criticisms, and toured frequently both nationally and abroad from 2002 and up until 2008.

Now the stage is set for new adventures as the trio gather for a reunion during Moldejazz. As with Sidsel's other constellations during the festival, Merriwinkle will invent the music they perform on the spot. Never before and, dare we say, never again will the exact same set be performed; but Endresen, Wallumrød and Sten are highly familiar with each other, as well as each others references and preferences - so the scene is set for an, at times, noisy and electrified approach to improvised music.

Christian Wallumrød is one of Norways most stylistic, but also playful and experimental, pianists. His many ensembles have been going strong since the mid-90's, and we also know him from groups such as Dans Les Abres and Close Erase.

Helge Sten is also known as ambient-artist Deathprod, with a record production spanning two decades. He has worked with, among others, Supersilent, Motorpsycho and none other than Arne Nordheim.

This is one of several concerts under the direction of this  years Artist in Residence, Sidsel Endresen.
