These past few years his attention has been focused on his own music and band, where Katchés unique drumming directs and is the focal point of both compositions and arrangements. His strong, but at the same time relaxed - groove is unlike that of any other drummer, and both inspires and elevates the soloists. In Katchés new band Tore Brunborg plays a central part alongside Italian trumpetist Luca Aquino. British keyboard-player Jim Watson also contributes strongly here with his insisting  and minimalistic expression, lyrical piano playing and viscous organ music.
