A master of multiple instruments, but it is the bass-guitar that has become his trademark.
He combines jazz, funk and R&B in a way that has made him one of the most spoken-about bass-players in the world. He has visited Moldejazz twice earlier; with his own band in 1996, and with "Legends", Eric Clapton, David Sanborn, Joe Sample and Steve Gadd in 1997. His latest album, "Renaissanse" (2012), is packed with funky grooved in combination with jazz done the "typical Miller-way". An instrumental evening in the name of funk. A lot of people have wished for Marcus Miller to return to Molde, and finally it will come true!
