IPA
IPA consists of Ingebrigt Håker-Flaten og Magnus Broo of the band Atomic, Atle Nymo og Håkon Mjåset Johansen of the band Motif. IPA is a quartet who came together from a shared admiration of the record Complete Communion by Don Cherry. The music is written by the band members and is recognized by strong melodies, perfomed in a free expressive form, with great energy and in interaction between five strong voices of Scandinavian jazz. The members of the band are known from collaborations with muicians like Chick Corea, Pat Metheny and Evan Parker and have recieved great revues for their performances.
