The Molde International Jazz Festival is proud to present one of Norway’s greatest jazz musicians and his new band for the opening concert in 2005. The Arild Andersen Group is presenting ”ELECTRA” as the opening concert at Moldejazz 2005. Inspired by the work ”Electra” by the Greek philosopher Sophocles, the Arild Andersen Group has developed a new concert (and CD) to be released in 2005. The concert is based on the Arild Andersen Group performance and original work written to the cultural program of the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004. While the story of “Electra” is of ancient time, the music is a true reflection of the world of today.
