COMMITTEE OVERVIEW

Below you will find a short description of the tasks performed by the different committees. Hopefully this will make it easier for you to choose wich committee you want to apply to be part of.

To join some of the committees you have to have a specific background or knowledge, but mostly the most important skill is that you are friendly and service- oriented. As a volunteer you will meet artists and audience, so you and your performance as a volunteer is very important to maintain our profile as a friendly and intimate festival.
 

COMMITTEE OVERVIEW- MOLDEJAZZ

TICKETS
As a member of the tickets commitee you will not only be selling tickets, but you will be in direct contact with the festival audience, guiding them throgh the festival program.  

BOOTH RENTAL
Members of this committee help manage the booth rental in the Main Street.

RESTAURANT
As a volunteer at the resturant of the house at PLASSEN you sell food and drinks and help maintain the resaurant area. You have to be over 18 to join this committee.

MEDIASERVICE (THE PRESS CENTRE)
This committee are responsible for welcoming the accredited press and make sure they have the best working conditions possible during the festival.

ACCREDITATION
This committee are responsible for the accreditation of all volunteers, musicians, guests, press and sponsors.

EFFECT SALES
Selling t-shirs and festival effects from stands in the main street.

FIRE FLATE
Fire flate is the Moldejazz independent festival- newspaper. It is published every day of the festival week. People working here are a mix of professional and amatour journalists and photographers. They also have an online newspaper at www.fireflate.no

IKT
Working to install, maintain, support and uninstall the Moldejazz IT systems.

ARTISTSERVICE (MR)
Musicians Relations are responsible for the follow-up of artists from the time they land and untill they leave Molde.

ARTISTTRANSPORT
Responsible for the transportation of artists and guests. An extended drivers licence is an advantage. You must have good driving skills to work in this committee.

ACCOMODATION
This committee manages accomodation for the festival's production team and volunteers, and are responsible for the breakfast, cleaning and the up- and down rig of the different living units.

CATERING
Volunteers needed for this committee are people who can perfom simple kitchen chores, work in a bar and drivers.

EVENTS TECHNICAL SUPPORT
This committee work with up- and down rig of the different venues and need people who can work before- under and after the festival. Some of the work can be physically demanding.

HEAVY- AND SPECIAL TRANSPORT
The committee are responsible for the transportation of all technical material during the festival, and operates before under and after the festival. Extended drivers licence is an advantage but we also need peoble to load and unload the trucks.

SCENOGRAPHY
The scenography committee are responsible for the decoration of scenes and venues and wardrobes. The work is mostly concentrated to before and after the festival, but there can be redecorations during the festival too.

GUARD
The guards at our venues make sure the audience get safely in and out of the concerts. Ticket- control, they ensure the emergency exits, and have a service- and information function towards our audience. All guards most be approved by the police before the festival, and you must be over 20 to work as a guard at Moldejazz.

SPOSORSERVICE
This committee is reponsible for the implementation of the sposor program according to the sponsor contracts. You will be the host of the different sponsors and their guests.

INFO
The info committee is responsible for the information services of the festival throughout the week. This includes the info stand located in Alexandra hotel, the internet, sms and other internal and external information services during the festival.
This committee also works with distrobution of things like the festival program, before and during the festival.

SIGNS AND PROFILING
This committee is responsible for the signs and information at all venues, and need volunteers to work before, during and after the festival.


ENVIRONMENT AND SERVICE
This committee is responsible for the environmental work of Moldejazz and is very important for our status as a certified enviromentally friendly festival. Tasks include management of the ecological food concept, renovation and the environment patrol that make sure the festval areas are kept nice and clean.  
This committee also serve as an important service institution for the other committees. The internal rapport system is operated by the environment and service committee.
